The Main Parameters Of Rubber O-Rings Size
The main parameters of rubber o-rings size are mainly divided into 3 parts, outer diameter, inner diameter and diameter of section.
1. outer diameter
The outer diameter of O rings is also called OD.
2. inner diameter
The inner diameter of O rings is also called ID.
3. diameter of section
The diameter of section of O rings is also called CS.
Usually, our engineering drawings only wrote inner diameter and diameter of section. For example, if the o ring inner diameter is 20mm and diameter of section is 1mm, then its outer diameter is 22mm.
The main parameters of rubber o-rings size test standards
Usually, we are mainly inspect the o-rings inner diameter and diameter of section. For example, test a small O-ring, inner diameter standard tolerance is +/- 0.12mm, diameter of section standard tolerance is +/- 0.08mm. So, testing standards will vary with the size of the O-ring.
